Hellooo Summer!

So, Friday was the last day of school. FINALLY! After all the snow days we've had. And, I'm officially, a high schooler.

Anyway, to recap: This school year, I got a blog, and became a high schooler. Yeah, short blog life.

So, viewer recap: Mostly from the US, some still from Germany, AND new from the Ukraine! Oh, and I fixed the comment thing where you could only comment with a google account. Now you can comment anonymously, and please do!

I will be gone all this week at summer camp, so don't expect posts from me. I'll share stories, I promise!

See you Monday!

The Fault In Our Stars (Movie Review-thingy)

The movie was good. I thought it was almost better than the book, in the aspect that the beginning wasn't as depressing as it is in the book. Some things in the movie were different, which is to be expected. Like how Augustus picks them up for Amsterdam instead of the opposite. Only, did they really need to have him in a limo? The other thing was when Augustus asks Hazel if she has $5. In the book, he asks if she has $4. Seriously? It's just a little thing, I know, but that makes it so much easier to get it right!

As a movie by itself, I would totally have seen that even if I hadn't read the book. It was a good movie. I thought that the beginning was fun, a bit upbeat, and would be an awesome movie to see with one's boy/girlfriend if it had a happy ending. Sadly, it doesn't. (Sadly, it ends sadly. Oh aren't I funny?) Because of this, it is a great movie to go see and then cry about with your friends. 4.5/5 (that's a better review than some guy on the radio gave. He said 4/5, and gave The Edge a 5/5)

One note, the movie does include Chapter 13, but there is a reason it is rated PG-13 and not R. It doesn't show anything, just like in the book. I would say this:

Rated PG-13 for mild language and 'implying' content.
Not rated R for mild language and explicit content.

---Update on Mission Break Matthew's Heart---
It is being put on hold. I don't have to do anything! Which is nice, but now I don't have an excuse to talk to Andre. :(

The Fault In Our Stars

(The Fault In Our Stars = TFIOS)

Did you know that TFIOS is titled after Shakespeare? It talks about it in the book. Well, actually, I don't know if that's true, it's just a guess, but it talks about this Shakespeare stuff that includes stuff about the title. Behold: " 'The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars / But in ourselves' " ~ The Shakespeare quote in TFIOS.

It was a good book. It was really well written and everything. I mean, the one question I have after reading this, is how in the world does John Green know how to be a teenage girl who thinks about life and stuff. I am a teenage girl who thinks about life and stuff for fun. Just how did he get that right? So, for those of you who haven't read it yet, you should read it if you like these types of things. (Not cancer books, but awesome love books)

Hazel Grace kind of reminds me of myself. It's also creepy.

IF YOU HAVE NOT READ TFIOS YET, DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS POST UNTIL YOU DO. #SPOLIERALERT

So, TFIOS starts out depressing. For goodness sake, it's talking about depression. And then it makes you laugh. But it hasn't stopped being depressing yet...
I told my dad how depressing the beginning was, and then I laughed. It's like saying your grandma just died, but on the bright side she won't pinch your cheek anymore, except it's actually funny.

Good news, it becomes happy when she starts to hang with Augustus. And it is this bright, positive, little space in time, where the book is not depressing. But then Augustus bites it, and everything turns depressing again. It starts depressing, ends depressing, and somewhere in the middle, there are some happy thoughts. It seems as though it is only happy and not depressing when Augustus is alive and in the book.

Also, the ending is too long. There is too much 'After-Augustus' part. Some of the stuff in that part is good, and ties up most loose ends, but it just takes too long.

So tomorrow, I am going to see the movie with my gran. Yep, Chapter 13 and all. Wish me luck!

Jar of Broken Hearts

So this guy, Matthew, likes my friend, C. And C and Matthew's friends, Andre and Paul, had created this plan that C would break Matthew's heart so he could become a 'stud muffin' like Andre. I'm not gonna lie, Andre kinda is a 'stud muffin', Andre is buff.

Anyway, C didn't want to break Matthew's heart, not because she liked him or anything, but it's just a bit weird. So now Andre chooses me to complete his mission, and I don't even have Matthew in any of my classes!

At the end of the day today, Andre comes up to me and puts his big arm around me (not gonna lie, I didn't mind being an armrest) and asks if I had completed my mission yet. So I complain that I don't have him in any of my classes except for band, and ask the simple question of why.

There is no why. Only do, there is. <lol Yoda speak> I don't get any reason. Just a mission; start your jar of broken hearts.

Authoring!

OK guys, I want to start writing a new book. This means I will use the time I would normally blog to write. Which means I won't be blogging as often! I will probably only post once I finish writing one chapter, do a short blog post, and add the link to the chapter. Just a warning!

Rain, rain, go away

It poured. I had to walk, from one school building, to another, and it was pouring the entire time. And, I had to take home two projects that I had turned into school, so those things got wet and I didn't have a good hold on my umbrella. Bleh.

Interesting facts time! I have had five views from some peeps in Germany. That's cool, considering I live in the US. I also have had four views (other than me) in the US. That's also cool. I think I have about two followersishish nowish. Maybe two.
If you are following me, please comment! I would love to chat with you!
